Hiking with Pack Horses in California - Ansel Adams Wilderness
The Ansel Adams Wilderness is filled with high peaks, crystal clear alpine lakes, dense forests, glorious meadows, and amazing panoramas. We begin in accommodations in Southern Yosemite, then hike, while horses and mules carry our gear to camp on a scenic lake deep in the wilderness area which honors the great photographer Ansel Adams.
Each day, you'll hike to different, unique destinations, enjoying lunch along the way. Guides, horses/mules, camping gear, lodging, and healthy meals are all included. This trip makes a wonderful Family Adventure!
Level of Difficulty
Leisurely to moderate hiking in varied elevation. Day time temperatures 65-85 degrees, evenings are usually 10-15 degrees cooler. All you carry is a day pack.
