A Remote Getaway in the California Wilderness
The Sequoia High Sierra Camp, located in the Giant Sequoia National Monument, combines the best aspects of a wilderness tent camp adventure - with the furnishings and guest amenities of a deluxe hotel.
This secluded mountain retreat offers a pristine scenic setting, peaceful tranquility and gracious hospitality. There are majestic views of the Kings River Canyon and Monarch Divide... featured from every cabin.
Guests can access the Camp in two ways - one easy, one more difficult. The easy access involves driving to a trailhead, then hiking a short 1 mile distance to reach the Camp. The difficult route requires hiking 11 miles along a well-marked backcountry trail over J.O. Pass from Lodgepole in Sequoia National Park. (This hike takes an average of 7-8 hours).
Make the Sequoia High Sierra Camp your home base for exploring the spectacular backcountry lakes, meadows, mountains and forest ' or simply relax with a good book or afternoon siesta. You'll come away rejuvenated from this unique wilderness adventure.
