West Virginia Whitewater Adventures
If you love whitewater, there's not a better two-day rafting trip anywhere than here at Class VI on the Gauley. This trip starts after most of the other trips have left, giving you the river almost completely to yourself. The world-class whitewater on the Upper Gauley is first on your list, and you'll spend the day tackling Class V rapids and floating beneath the steep canyon walls. In the afternoon, you'll arrive at Canyon Doors Camp to hot showers, warm dry clothes, trays of hors d'oevres, and your favorite drinks at our timber frame pavilion. While you relax, our chefs prepare an unbeatable prime rib and salmon dinner for you to enjoy before you head off to one of the custom built fire rings or the spring-fed, wood fired cedar hot tubs.
In the morning, a big ol' mountain breakfast is set out to refuel you for another thrilling day of whitewater rafting, this time on the Lower Gauley. Plenty of big rapids punctuate the rest of trip before heading back to Class VI to watch your video, swap stories, and (for most of our guests) book next year's trip!
